Situata nell’antico cinema Studio Pathé Albatros, creato per Charles Pathé nel 1904, è oggi uno dei centri di arti sceniche più importanti d’Europa. 

The academy is situated in the ancient cinema studio Studio Pathé Albatros, created for Charles Pathé in 1904. Today it is one of the most important centres of scenic arts in Europe.

SCARAMUCCIA

La Trama: Il giudice di un villaggio immaginario si innamora della cortigiana Lucrezia, costei è presa di passione per Orlando giovane Barone portoghese. Cinzio nipote della locandiera Amelia si inveghisce di Violetta la figlia del Giudice che a sua volta è corteggiata da Orlando... Scaramuccia di ritorno dalla guerra decide, con l’aiuto di Mezzettino e Franceschina di rubare i tappeti del Giudice. Scaramuccia è un « maxi imbroglio », dove l’amore, il denaro, le imboscate, gli inseguimenti, le pantomime, le danze e i canti si susseguono a un ritmo frenetico, cadenzando un’azione teatrale destinata a fustigare il malcostume di un villaggio tra “immaginario” per la più grande soddisfazione di grandi e piccini. Lo spettacolo: la nuova edizione di scaramuccia (una prima versione fu creata da Carlo Boso nel 1987 per il TAG Teatro di Venezia) è stata presentata in prima mondiale all’Università d’Avignone in  occasione del 61° Festival d’Avignon. Lo spettacolo viene presentato nella madre lingua degli attori e sarà, quindi, multilingue.

SCARAMOUCHE

Plot: The judge of an imaginary village falls in love with the courtier Lucrezia, full of passion for Orlando, a young Portuguese baron. The innkeeper Amelia’s nephew Cinzio takes a fancy for Violetta, the judge’s daughter, who is courted by Orlando.... Once back from the war, Scaramuccia decides, with the help of Mezzettino and Franceschina, to steal the judge’s carpets. Scaramucciais an “entanglement,” where love, money, ambushes, pursuits, pantomime, dances and songs follow each other with a raving rhythm, marking the rhythm of a theatre action destined to censure the immorality of a village of the “imaginary” to the greatest satisfaction of those young and old alike. The show: The new edition of  Scaramuccia (a first version was created by Carlo Boso in 1987 for the TAG Theatre of Venice) has been presented in world premiere by the University of Avignon during the 61^st Festival d’Avignon. The show is performed in the actors’ mother tongue and is thus multilingual.
